Everyone needs to be digitally literate in order to fully participate in today’s society. DIGIT-start focuses on the essential digital basic skills. The goal is digital self-sufficiency for people who have never or hardly worked with a computer.

Content

The method consists of two levels: Basic Level 1 and Basic Level 2.

Basic Level 1 is the entry level. It includes 5 subdomains covering the following topics:

  • Knowledge of a computer
  • Creating documents with Word
  • Digital communication with Outlook
  • Information search
  • Safe and healthy work practices

Basic Level 2 delves deeper into these skills and knowledge. Both levels can be completed with a validated exam.

 

DIGIT-start offers:

  • Digitale skills from the very basics.
  • Simple language, also suitable for low-literate.
  • Practical tasks to practice skills.
  • Self-sufficiency and information searching.
  • Teaching materials aligned with the final objectives of the Regulation on Digital Skills Education 2018.     
  • Validated exams for Basic Levels 1 and 2.
